What is the DHA Sheryan portal?
Sheryan is the Dubai Health Authority's online licensing platform. Every healthcare professional who wants to work in Dubai uses Sheryan to apply for their professional licence, submit documents, complete primary-source verification (DataFlow), pay fees, and receive the eligibility number needed to book the DHA exam.
Think of Sheryan as the single front door to DHA licensing — from your first application through to your final licence being issued.
How to create your Sheryan account
Registration is straightforward, but accuracy matters — your details must match your official documents exactly.
- Go to the DHA Sheryan portal and choose to register as a professional (“Healthcare Professional”).
- Enter your personal details exactly as they appear on your passport.
- Verify your email address and mobile number.
- Log in and start a new professional licence application for your profession and specialty.
Complete DataFlow (primary-source verification)
Before you can sit the DHA exam, your qualifications and experience must be verified by DataFlow — an independent primary-source verification service. Sheryan links directly to your DataFlow report.
Start DataFlow early: verification can take several weeks depending on how quickly your university and past employers respond.
- Submit your degree certificate, transcripts, and experience letters to DataFlow.
- Track the status of each document until all sources are verified.
- Once complete, your verified report is attached to your Sheryan application.
Get your eligibility number & book the exam
After DataFlow verification and application review, DHA issues an eligibility number in Sheryan. This is your green light to sit the exam.
Use the eligibility number to book your DHA exam slot at a Prometric test centre (in the UAE or internationally). Choose a date that gives you enough time to prepare.
After you pass
Once you pass the DHA exam, complete the remaining steps in Sheryan — final document checks, fee payment, and Good Standing where required — and DHA issues your professional licence, allowing you to practise in Dubai.
