MOHAP (the Ministry of Health & Prevention) is the UAE's federal health authority, covering healthcare licensing in the Northern Emirates — Sharjah, Ajman, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Quwain. It's a separate authority from DHA (which licenses Dubai) and DOH, formerly HAAD (which licenses Abu Dhabi) — each has its own exam, portal and requirements, though all three follow the shared Unified Healthcare Professionals Qualification Requirements.
The exam itself is a computer-based test (CBT) delivered via Prometric, with multiple-choice questions mapped to your profession's clinical blueprint. Unlike some other authorities, MOHAP caps candidates at three exam attempts — including cancelled or no-show bookings — so preparation matters more before you sit it.
